Alumnae Associations are established to support University’s goals, and to strengthen the ties between alumnae, community, and the University. Alumnae Associations promotes and encourages a positive image of the University as Alumnae are the great source of inspiration for the expected/potential students as well as for current students of the University.

Aims & Objectives

To get feedback and suggestions to improve the Programmes, systems & procedures of the University. of Alumnae Association Office will enable the University to

  1. To get feedback on the current market needs that will help to initiate new Programmes accordingly.
  2. To know employability of their Graduated Students.
  3. To develop relationships with the employer.
  4. To generate endowment both in cash and in kind.
  5. To enhance networking and career development among Alumnae.


1st Alumnae Reunion of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar

Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar organized 1st Alumnae Reunion on 29th November 2011. The Alumnae Association of SBBWUP was established and started functioning on 8th August, 2012. The first major event of the Alumnae Association was the reunion. The main purpose of this reunion was to strengthen the ties between alumnae, graduating students and the University and ultimately to meet the objectives of the university by improving its programmes, systems and procedures through feedback.

The reunion was presided by the Vice Chancellor SBBWUP, Prof. Dr. Syeda Farhana Jehangir. It started with the recitation from the Holy Qur’an. The Vice Chancellor welcomed the alumnae and the guests and then briefly shared the university’s success milestones them. Her address ended up with the distribution of gifts and bouquets to the Alumnae followed by the group photograph.

After that the Alumnae Association Officer, Sehrish Zaffar spoke to the audience and gave a brief introduction of Alumnae Association Office, Its purpose of establishment along with its importance in career development of students and achieving the university’s goals. Moreover gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for her countless efforts, support and guidance in establishing the Alumnae Association Department was expressed and also the efforts made by Ms. Maria Abrar and Ms. Saba Shah were appreciated. The Hostel students of the university presented variety of items and performances in order to welcome the guests. Moreover at the end of the program the hostel students presented a ‘Cake of Thanks” for the Vice Chancellor in recognition of her countless efforts for the development of the university. The Alumnae appreciated the efforts made by the Alumnae Association Office. All Alumnae encourage the step to reunite and provide a platform to graduates and university to interact with each other and work for university’s objectives collectively. The graduates were satisfied and were hoping for such events to be organized in future as well.
