REPORT ON TWO DAY WORKSHOP ON “RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND SYNOPSIS WRITING”

For Faculty and students of 7th Semester of BS Zoology Program

at Govt. Girls Degree College, Bacha Khan, Kohat Road, Peshawar

1. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar conducted Two-Day Workshop on “Research Methodology and Synopsis Writing” on February 22-23, 2021 at Govt. Girls Degree College Bacha Khan, Kohat Road, Peshawar. The workshop was attended by 69 participants including  faculty and students of BS Zoology 4-Year program, Govt. Girls Degree College Bacha Khan, Kohat Road, Peshawar

2. The objective of the training was to equip the participants with the main components of a research framework including problem statement, ethical considerations, sampling and data analysis techniques, within the quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods research approaches to conduct their own small scale research.

3. The resource person Dr Iram Maqsood, Assistant Professor Department of Zoology, Dr Rabea Ejaz, Assistant Professor Department of Zoology, and Ms Saira Saleem Lecturer Department of Zoology lead engaging and thought-provoking sessions, hand on training  on developing research plans, and leave the participants with tools and resources to choose a research design for a topic and generate appropriate questions, plan and design a research thesis relevant to their area of expertise and understand the key characteristics of research.

4. Dr. Fazl-e-Hadi, Additional Director Colleges, Higher Education Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Organizer Ms Tashfeen Zia, Deputy Registrar Affiliations & Monitoring Department were also present at the workshop. The workshop concluded with the distribution of Certificates and Souvenirs among the guests, participants, resource persons and the organizers.
