SBBWUP Signs MoU with SeedRise KP Fund to Advance Student Innovation and Women Entrepreneurship

Peshawar, June 9, 2026: Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU), Peshawar, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SeedRise KP Fund, an initiative hosted by the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar, and supported by The Asia Foundation, to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and the commercialization of student-led research and Final Year Projects (FYPs).

The MoU signing ceremony was held at SBBWU and was attended by senior officials from both institutions. The agreement was signed by Dr. Farhat Amin, Vice Chancellor, SBBWU, and Mr. Amjad Ali Arbab, Project Lead, SeedRise KP Fund, in the presence of Ms. Zohra Shahzad, Director ORIC and Mr. Shahbaz Ismail, Sr. Associates, SeedRise KP Fund with faculty members.

The Memorandum of Understanding between SBBWU and SeedRise KP Fund establishes a collaborative framework to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and the commercialization of student-led research, with a particular focus on women entrepreneurs. Through this partnership, SBBWU students and graduates will benefit from mentorship, entrepreneurial training, industry linkages, startup ecosystem engagement, and opportunities to develop investment-ready ventures. The collaboration will support the commercialization of Final Year Projects, organize entrepreneurship awareness programs, facilitate participation in startup events, and connect student innovators and researchers with industry experts and mentors. By strengthening ties between academia and industry through knowledge exchange, innovation showcases, and collaborative initiatives, the partnership aims to foster a vibrant innovation ecosystem at SBBWU and empower the next generation of women entrepreneurs, innovators, and change makers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
