Experience

  • February 8th 2008 till date Assistant professor/ Coordinator: Department of Psychology Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University.
    • Key Responsibilities: Teaching at M.sc, Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical psychology & M.Phil/Ph.D scholars. Taught Biological Psychology, Educational Psychology. History of Psychology, psycho diagnosis (DSM-IV-TR) & Neuropsychology. Student Research Advisor, Lead group discussion, As Coordinator of the Department plan, organize & supervise the work of the department. Under the general supervision of the Vice Chancellor and the Dean exercise all the administrative and academic powers. Responsible to prepare a comprehensive annual report regarding the performances of the department faculty or research & scientific /technology development and submit report to the Dean of the faculty for evaluation. Introduced M.phil/Ph.D& 4-years BS programme in the department.  
  • 26th Dec 2005-7 Feb 2008 Lecturer in the Department of Psychology Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University.
    • Key Responsibilities: Delivered lectures on Biological psychology, Educational psychology to Post graduate students. Established psychology laboratory and psychotherapeutic center in the Department.
  • 15 Sept 2004 - 15 Nov 2004 Jinnah college for women as lecturer University of Peshawar, Pakistan.
    • Key Responsibilities: Taught Developmental Psychology at graduate level.
  • 1st April 2004 - 31sJuly 2004 as psychologist in NUR Education Trust(Shelter).
    • Key Responsibilities: Provide psychotherapy/counseling to the Women coming from jail or need temporary support in shelter. Prepare their assessment report after taking the interview and applying psychological test batteries. Prepared weekly report of the shelter activities.
  • 1st Oct 2002 - 28th Feb 2003 as psychotherapist in Burn ward of Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar Pakistan.
    • Key Responsibilities: The task was assigned from a local NGO(paradise environmental & Community welfare society Peshawar) to collect the data of women suffering from domestic violence. Provide counseling to the sufferers and their family.  
  • 1st July 2001- 30th Sep 2002 as psychotherapist/project officer in Mental Hospital Peshawar Pakistan.
    • Key Responsibilities: Duties included; assessment of psychiatric patients including initial interviews ,administration of psychological and psychiatric ,analysis and interpretation of tests; provisional diagnosis during morning rounds, and consultation with psychiatrists to arrive at the final diagnosis ,leading to appropriate treatment plans. Provide counseling services and cognitive therapy, REBT, Faimly, & supportive therapy to both in and out door patients, for various kind of psychological disorders, like depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, dementia, Marital problems etc. all duties culminated as monthly progress report on therapy, outcomes of individual patients to the head of the department.  
  • Data collection during July 2000“problem of aging” for Nation council of social welfare Islamabad.
    • Key responsibilities: After getting a training, a structured interview was taken from the Community belongs lower socio economic status and data was submitted to concerned organization
