Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Holds 3rd Convocation 2017

203 graduates were awarded degrees during Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU) Peshawar 3rd Convocation for BS four Year Program Session (2011-15), Master/MPhil, and PhD Program (2013-15) held on Tuesday at University of Peshawar Convocation Hall.

On this occasion SBBWU Peshawar Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Razia Sultana awarded the degrees to students.

The awards included 07 PhD degree holders, 02 MPhil, 119 Master and 75 Bachelor of Science in different disciplines and 30 students of Master and BS were awarded Gold Medals who grabbed first positions their respective departments.

The BS students from Affiliated Colleges (Government Girls Degree College Hayatabad, Government Frontier College for Women Peshawar, Government City Girls College Peshawar and Government Girls Degree College Nowshera) also received their degrees.

Addressing to the students SBBWU Peshawar, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana congratulated the students and their proud parents on the highest achievement of their life and encouraged them to move forward in their respective fields.

She said that SBBWU equally compete along with other partners for playing a key role in China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project which is which is a mega project launched by government of Pakistan with the collaboration of China government.

The VC informed that SBBWU is going to start Chinese language courses in near future in which not only university students but other college's students can take admission. She encouraged female students to learn the Chinese language and play key role in China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project.

The VC shared that varsity got several achievements in last three years of time and they gave 900 scholarships to deserving students. She said that varsity has introduced quota seats for internally displaced persons (IDPs) students of Waziristan and Khyber Agency, Chital and for minorities. Dr Sultana said that with the support of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government very soon they will build their own labs, halls and libraries.

She hoped that the 4th convocation ceremony of varsity would held in SBBWU Peshawar Convocation Hall. The VC appealed to provincial government to support them in construction of roads to university, hostels and other under construction work for the bright future of young generation.
