"Evolution of Urdu Language and Literature during the Mughal Rule in India" a Lecture Conducted by Department of History with collaboration of Urdu Department

Department of History has organized a one day lecture with the collaboration of Urdu department. The topic of lecture was “Evolution of Urdu language and literature during the Mughal rule in medieval India”. Lecture was held at ERCP in Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar. The audience ranges from faculty members to the students of both departments. Opening session was conducted by Ms. Motia, lecturer in department of History and presented the origin and evolution of Urdu language during the Mughal rule in medieval India. While, Dr. Basmin expressed her opinion on how Urdu language eventually gained its status in literature. She also shared plenty of information about the literary and rich repository of Urdu Literature. Both presentations were followed by the question answer session, in which students of Urdu literature and of History department took keen interest.
